PeplerOptics is a wholly new initiative from Peplertech, the UK’s leading supplier of production solutions for the printed circuit board, chemical etching and plastic card industries. Having initially been initially established as a division of Peplertech selling optical instruments online, the division’s runaway success necessitated the creation of a quite separate brand, and brand identity, for PeplerOptics. The most challenging aspect consisted of establishing brand leading credentials for a brand name that would be new to the market.
Today, the newly-formed PeplerOptics offers its customers the widest range of loupes and magnifiers available in the UK, including the full range of market-leading Peak optical instruments. The solution involved starting from scratch to create an entire new and confident corporate identity for PeplerOptics that would reflect its brand leadership and the all-round quality of its offering.
Our starting point, as always, was to establish a positioning statement that would simply and memorably encapsulate the essence of the brand identity. Drawing on the language of the sector, ‘Quality magnified’ was thought to perfectly express the brand’s quality offering in addition to a determination to ‘go the extra mile’ with the thought being brought to life visually through a simple yet impactful logo device. Tonally, the boldness of the approach Suggested the confidence of a true brand leader.
Having established a separate, market-leading identity, the brand has gone from strength to strength with 2013 promising a record turnover and online business achieving unprecedented results.
