The challenge

Cotton Traders has a devoted following based upon its offering of stylish, hard wearing casual clothing for men and women. The challenge consisted of delivering a January Sale message for the Irish market while consolidating the brand’s customer base through a strong connection to the brand.

The solution

The solution was inspired by the ‘stitch’ device framing the logo which could also be interpreted as the ‘dotted line’ of a tailor’s pattern. For this DRTV execution, this interpretation was chosen enabling a striking sale message that would be firmly rooted in the branding.

The execution

The DRTV execution was based upon the theme of ‘It’s a snip from Cotton Traders’ with scissors ‘snipping’ prices across the range, while an original music track based upon the rhythm of snipping scissors added a relevant and intrusive extra touch to the soundtrack.
